Watford To Pursue Transfers With Liverpool For Jordon Ibe, Joe Allen

Mar 30, 2016 11:48 AM

Watford plan on pursuing Joe Allen and Jordon Ibe of Liverpool this summer.

Allen will enter the final 12 months of his contract with Liverpool. Allen has started only 10 of Jurgen Klopp's first 38 matches.

Ibe has also endured a difficult season at Liverpool and the England under-21 manager, Gareth Southgate, claimed that the winger had suffered a loss of confidence following his dismissal against Switzerland on Sunday.

Ibe has had a small role under Klopp.

Carlos Tevez Was Pursued By Atletico

Mar 29, 2016 10:31 PM

Atletico Madrid was linked to a move for Carlos Tevez but he instead decided to return to Argentina with Boca Juniors.

Tevez moved back to Boca after two years with Juventus for a fee of €6.5 million. He signed for Juve from Manchester City in 2013 and scored 20 Serie A goals in 2014-15.

"[Diego Simeone] called me and I was excited about the idea," Tevez told Marca. "Playing in Spain is something that is pending in my career, but I could not say no to Boca. Last year the only offer I had in Spain was from Atletico, but before that [Real] Madrid expressed interest in me."

Romelu Lukaku Open To Playing For Jose Mourinho Again

Mar 28, 2016 12:15 PM

Romelu Lukaku has said he would have no problem working with Jose Mourinho in the future.

Lukaku is interested in leaving Everton to play Champions League soccer and Manchester United is one club he's been linked to joining. Mourinho is widely expected to become the next manager of United.

As manager of Chelsea, Mourinho sanctioned Lukaku's £28 million move to Everton in July 2014.

"Of course," Lukaku said. "Some people will say that I need to convince him but it's not a question of that. Three years ago I was 20 and I wasn't ready to be immediately effective in a top team.

"Several good seasons, including the current one, have changed the situation. I'll be 23 [in May] and I could leave this summer."

Zlatan Ibrahimovic Confirms Receiving Interest From EPL

Mar 29, 2016 12:51 PM

Zlatan Ibrahimovic confirmed he's receiving interest from clubs in the Premier League.

Ibrahimovic has said he will leave Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea have all been linked to him and Ibrahimovic said: “There’s interest, I can confirm that. We’ll have to wait and see what happens. I’ll look at every offer on the table and then make a decision. It’s like a marriage. Both parties need to want it just as much.

“I think the Premier League is the league that attracts the most interest in the world. No doubt about it. I’ve played in fantastic countries and leagues. Every league has its pros and cons and that goes for the Premier League as well.

“I’m not having any discussions regarding this at the moment. I will not lie to you, Mino [Raiola], my agent, handles everything regarding my future right now. I am playing football and he is focusing on that. Then, in the summer, we will look at all the options. I have a contract until the end of June, when contracts normally run out. And I believe I have a lot of options. A lot of big things will happen this summer.

“He feels that the time is right. He feels that; I don’t. Then we have to see when all the cards are on the table. I think there will be a lot of opportunities. If you just have a little patience, there will be a lot to write about. The future looks very bright.

“A lot of respect to PSG and the relationship I have with them. They have kept all their promises. Respect is the only feeling there is between us.”

Romelu Lukaku's Father Wants Him To Join United Or Bayern

Mar 27, 2016 1:46 PM

The father of Romelu Lukaku says his son must consider leaving Everton in the summer for either Manchester United or Bayern Munich.

Roger Lukaku said his son is ready to move on.

Lukaku joined the Toffees in 2014 for £28 million after failing to make the first-team at Chelsea and has become the subject of interest for many of Europe's top clubs with his performances.

"He's ready," Lukaku Sr. told Het Laatste Nieuws‏. "I see that there is interest from Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Chelsea and Manchester United.

"I think he must choose Manchester United or Bayern Munich. Manchester United is a team under construction with no real focus.

"Bayern Munich is a machine where he can rotate well. The only condition is if Robert Lewandowski leaves."

Lukaku distanced himself from his father's comments, but did say he wants to play in the Champions League next season.

"That is my dad's point of view; I think those are the teams he likes," he said. "It means people are keeping an eye on you.

"I have an agent who is dealing with this for me at the moment. I just want to be good, help my team-mates win games and score lots of goals."

But, asked if he wanted to play in Europe, he said: "That is the next step for me. I'm 23 next summer and I think it would be nice to play in the Champions League from next season."

Ousmane Dembele's Mother Expected To Decide His Next Club

Mar 25, 2016 7:34 PM

Ousmane Dembele has become the world's most coveted 18-year-old soccer player with interest coming from Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester City, but his mother will likely make the decision.

“She is who will decide Ousmane’s future,” admits Dembele's agent Badou Sambagué. “When he wanted to leave last summer, his mother told him she wanted him to stay at Rennes and sign his first professional contract. In the end he had no choice.”

Dembele has scored 10 goals this season for Rennes, making him the youngest player to reach that mark in Ligue 1.

Arsenal, Chelsea, City and Tottenham are among his suitors in the Premier League but reports in France on Monday claimed that Bayern have already secured a deal under which Dembele would be loaned back to Rennes next season.

The bidding will likely start around £25 million.

“It’s very important for him to only think about playing football. My job is to protect him from all the speculation,” said Sambagué. “I’ve known Ousmane since he was born – I lived on the first floor of our immeuble and his family was on the second. I went to school with his brother and sister so we know each other very well. I was the model for a lot of the young footballers in the area because I had played international football for Mali. My example was to play football and then study so I became a lawyer after retiring. That’s when Ousmane said, ‘Badou I want you to give me a target for the future’.”

Marc-Andre Ter Stegen To Consider Barcelona Exit

Mar 25, 2016 7:11 PM

Marc-Andre ter Stegen has hinted he may be forced to consider changing clubs if his number of appearances doesn't increase with the Blaugrana soon.

Ter Stegen has shared goalkeeping duties with Claudio Bravo since signing with the club from Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer of 2014.

Ter Stegen has primarily been used for Barcelona in the Champions League and Copa del Rey matches.

"I want to take the next step and to play more. So the situation is clear: If nothing changes, we have to talk," Ter Stegen told TZ on Friday.

In football, sometimes things go very quickly.

"At the end of the season I'll have played about 25 games. This is not a little, but when I return from the national team, I'll probably be back on the bench in La Liga, for the Clasico against Real Madrid [on April 2].

"In the long run, these 25 games per season are not enough for me.

"The decision is made by the coach. I hope that the quality I've shown recently is rewarded."

Antonio Conte Wants Juan Cuadrado, Radja Nainggolan At Chelsea

Mar 24, 2016 12:30 PM

Antonio Conte wants Juan Cuadrado and Radja Nainggolan on Chelsea next season.

Conte has agreed to replace Guus Hiddink at Chelsea next season though a deal is not completely finished.

Cuadrado joined Chelsea from Fiorentina last January for £23.3 million but struggled under Jose Mourinho and he was loaned out to Juventus before the current season. Cuadrado regained his form with Juve and has played a huge role in their success this season.

Conte tried to sign Cuadrado when he was manager of Juventus.

Roma are likely to ask for up to £28 million for the Nainggolan, who joined for £5 million from Cagliari in 2014. Nainggolan would help Chelsea reinforce their midfield.
